چکیده
This study compares high-resolution urban surface temperatures (Ts) obtained through airborne-remote sensing and from a heat balance simulation model to clarify the characteristics of detailed Ts distributions within an district confirmed capabilities limitations for assessment. The remote observations were conducted in daytime summer winter. For simulation, three-dimensional (3D) geometry component material data collected by using previously developed modeling method, materials database, field surveys. 3D simulated winter days. Both numerical showed effects solar reflectance, also time-integrating capacity materials. point-to-point comparison results between numerically remotely sensed Tr revealed that was close at many points both seasons. values slightly smaller than those these owing emissivity. It is can effectively simulate distribution with airborne data. factors causing difference assessed as mixels image, reproductivity model, actual microclimate anthropogenic emission, limitation used one-dimensional (1D) conduction equation.

Natural disasters can severely impact transportation networks. In the hours and days following a major flooding event, knowing the location and extent of the damage is crucial for incident managers for a number of reasons: it allows for emergency vehicle access to affected areas; it facilitates the efficient rerouting of traffic; it raises the quality and reduces the cost of repairs; and it all...
متن کاملBuilding Detection and Recognition from High Resolution Remotely Sensed Imagery
This paper supposes a schema to deal with the tough task of building detection and recognition from high resolution remotely sensed imagery. It is a region-based and semi-automatic schema combining with Hough transform and computation of convex hull of the pixels contained in the building areas, which can produce a precise result when the contrast between flat building rooftop and the backgroun...
متن کاملBrdf Effects in Remotely Sensed High Resolution Images of Urban Areas
Satellite remotely sensed images with a resolution of 1 m are expected to be available in the near future. These images are well suited for the study of inhomogenous areas like cities. This paper presents research projects of our group concerning the bidirectional reeectance properties of man-made surfaces, such as roofs, streets, etc. The BRDF eeects (like e.g. specular reeection for forward s...
متن کاملAutomatic Road Extraction of Urban Area from High Spatial Resolution Remotely Sensed Imagery
For the significance of road information to the city management, urban roads are subjects of great concern to be extracted from remotely sensed images. With the availability of high spatial resolution images from new generation commercial sensors, how to extract roads quickly, accurately and automatically has been a cutting-edge problem in remote sensing related fields. Present main approaches ...
